Well, where do I begin with this session! It was a session out of a magazine, and the feedback I have gotten from this session has been very overwhelming! I am honored to have captured Crystal and Jordan’s Anniversary Session Chattanooga, TN, at Coolidge Park. I have known Jordan and Crystal for almost 2 years now, and I cannot even begin to say how amazing these two humans are. Anniversary Session Chattanooga TN
I credit most of my success with my business to them, and I am honored and humbled to be asked to photograph their anniversary session. I remember when Jordan asked me if I would do the shoot for him and Crystal. He was hesitant, but I was shocked and excited to shoot for them. When we met, I toyed with the idea of wearing all black. With such strong features, the all-black outfit enhances them. They were on board for it.
Setting for a session is everything and sets the ambiance and color palette for the entire session. The cool color of the river, cloudy sky with a fog mix, and the beautiful sunset that appeared at the end were like a delicious Chili recipe. I was joined by 3 of my closest friends who are amongst the most talented people in the industry, and when we put our heads together, we create some SERIOUS magic together. This session was just fun. I felt so much pressure to deliver on their photos, but I’d say that I did a really great job. They were happy, happy, and happy, and I am honored to be their photographer. HOW DID YOU MEET?!
“At university, I saw Crystal in the library and introduced myself to her.”
TELL US ABOUT YOUR FIRST DATE!
“I (Crystal) was out by an outdoor fountain practicing my photography skills. Jordan was also getting into photography at this time. I decided to message him and tell him I was practicing my night photography by the fountain and conveniently asked for his opinion, hoping he’d join.”
“It took him about 5 minutes for him to come running out from his dorm on campus to meet me up with his camera and practice his photography skills with me. We ended up talking by the fountain for 5 hours straight. It wasn’t an official date, but it was the first time we ended up hanging out and one of our most memorable times.” Anniversary Session Chattanooga TN
“Oh, this was also at night, I was practicing my night photography. My picture came out better. LOL”
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN TOGETHER?!
“Married 4 years, almost 5, and been together for 9 years.”
WHAT MADE YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH ONE ANOTHER?!
Crystal: “His kindness, adventurous side, passion for entrepreneurship, and desire to live outside the norm. He dreamed as big as I did and I knew we could create a life together that would be compatible. And of course, I thought he was attractive.”
Jordan: “Her beauty and depth. Her desire for more in life outside of the norm of most people.”
HOW DID HE PROPOSE?
“He took me out to a park that I enjoyed going to, we took a canoe early in the morning and he took me to an embankment across the lake where he proposed to me, after signing a song and playing the guitar to a song he wrote for me.”

“ALL OF IT. The best part was being able to celebrate with family and friends. Our wedding wasn’t just about us. It was also about people we love and celebrating it all. In the end, everyone gathered around us, arm to arm, with us in the middle, and sang to us our wedding song.”
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT EACH OTHER?!
Crystal: “His forward-thinking, creativity, insight, and wisdom. The importance he places on health, and growth. As well as his support.”
Jordan: “Her wisdom, inspiration, motivation, beauty, support, wittiness, talent with words. Ability to kick my ass when needed ;)”
HOW HAVE YOU GROWN AS A COUPLE SINCE YOU STARTED DATING/GOTTEN MARRIED?
“The most important part is we’ve taken time to grow individually. We’ve learned each other’s strengths and weaknesses and how to sharpen each other and lift each other up. We hold each other accountable and support each other. We also give each other space to be our own person and that is gold.”
FAVORITE QUIRK ABOUT EACH OTHER?!
Crystal: “He thinks his jokes are funny and laughs at his own jokes.”
Jordan: “She knows my jokes are funny ;).”
IF YOU COULD SPEND 24 HOURS WITH YOUR PARTNER, WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING
“Relaxing, talking, going for a walk with a drink in hand. It’s simple and enjoyable.”
“The next best thing is taking trips together. It’s just so easy. We don’t require a lot, and we both are flexible with what we do.”
WHEN DO YOU FEEL MOST LOVED BY YOUR PARTNER?!
Crystal: “When I’m being heard and listened to by him and understood. And when I get feedback.”
Jordan: “When I’m complimented and close to her.”

Crystal: “If I could learn at insane super speed.”
Jordan: “The gift of gab.”
