Taylor and Joe’s Engagement Session Cross Estate Gardens was beautiful and cold but more beautiful. Their smiles are infectious and the love they have for each other. Taylor and Joe have such an amazing love connection! It is beautiful, and when we finally started going, they got into a groove, and their true colors started to shine! This winter has been filled with a lot of cold weather and a lot of snow. More in North Jersey than in South Jersey! When we planned their session, we didn’t think there would be as much snow as there was, so when we planned this location, we were all excited to shoot Taylor and Joe’s Engagement Session Cross Estate Gardens there.
Their outfit choices were spot on, and although there was a lot of snow on the ground, the all-black look was beautiful and worked really well. The only time I think black is acceptable in an engagement session is when both members of the couple wear all black, and it is formal. Sometimes it doesn’t work in situations, but 99% of the time, I have had a lot of success with my couples wearing all black. Engagement Session Cross Estate Gardens
Taylor and Joe did an amazing job with the outfit choices. I love how formal one was and how casual the other was. They are huge Stealers fans. Joe wanted to incorporate that into their session. Which I think was a great idea. They even brought a football too.
We played some catch, tried to do some cute tackling while playing football, and just had a ball of fun with it. Get it? a “ball of fun!” 🙂
These two just did an amazing job, and I am so proud of them. We started losing sunlight, and we had to start wrapping up the session. “We met for dinner and drinks at Chili’s. We instantly bonded over Shania Twain’s song, “Forever and For Always,” which was playing at the restaurant, and had an amazing time getting to know one another. The whole evening felt so natural! Wanting to keep the date going, Joe tricked me by saying that he needed to go to the mall to get a gift for his cousin and if I knew of a mall nearby.” Engagement Session Cross Estate Gardens
“When we got to the mall, and I asked what he needed to get, he admitted that he didn’t really have to get anything at the mall; he just wanted to spend some time together. It was then that Joe pulled his “move”; he asked me if I could hold something for him, and when I reached out my hand, he put his hand in mine. It hooked me instantly, and here we are over 3 years later!”
HOW DID YOU FALL IN LOVE?
“It was love at first sight for the both of us!”
HOW DID HE PROPOSE?
“Joe proposed using a custom Pittsburgh Steelers jersey with my favorite number and future last name on it. He has wanted to get me a custom jersey for a while now, but I could never decide if I wanted the jersey to say my first name or my last name. When I opened the gift and turned the jersey around to the back to see what name he chose, I became absolutely speechless when I saw the words “Mrs. Witczak” printed on the back!” Engagement Session Cross Estate Gardens
“When I placed the jersey on my lap, I saw Joe before me on one knee with the ring in his hand and said, “please do me the honor of being mine?” I was so overcome with emotion that I could not push through the lump in my throat to say “Yes,” so I nodded my head instead! HAHA!”
“Joe barely got the ring on my finger because my hands were shaking due to the surprise! I had absolutely NO idea that his family was in on the plan the entire time, from recording the proposal and queuing the music to FaceTiming my best friend and future Maid of Honor Joanna so she could experience the moment with us! It wasn’t until I went back to watch the video of the proposal that I noticed Joe had one of my favorite songs, “Drops of Jupiter” by Train, playing in the background! It was a moment I will never forget!”
