THEIR ANNIVERSARY SESSION
Rebecca and Pat’s Anniversary Session WAS such an amazing session! I met Rebecca and Pat about seven years ago during my freshman year of college. Rebecca was a musical theater major at Montclair State University, and Pat attended William Patterson University where he studied Music Education with a concentration in Classical Percussion.
Getting to know Pat and Rebecca throughout college was a joy, and when Rebecca reached out to me about doing a session with them for their fourth anniversary, I was sold on the idea. I can’t begin to tell you how sweet they both are, and they complement one another perfectly. Now I know there is no such thing as perfect, but they’re pretty darn close! 🙂
Making people smile through my lens brings me such joy, especially during a time like this. When they got married four years ago, I wasn’t quite full time in the wedding industry, and Rebecca said she wished I had captured their wedding day and that they didn’t get any formal wedding portraits done!
Pat’s family owns a house up in Little Falls, NJ, which sits on about 2 acres of land! My favorite part of the grounds was the Bamboo shoots. The photos we took in front of the Bamboo shoots were some of my favorites from the session! I asked them what their favorite alcoholic drinks were. Becca said she loves Tequila, Vodka, Champagne, and Cocktails. Pat said he is simple and loves Scotch.
Pat and Becca are big fans of the Office and they love to eat Oreos. However, the most important thing they said to them was that they were always together.
A marriage between two people means so much more than their actual wedding day. It means spending the rest of your lives together.
THEIR LOVE STORY
Pat and Rebecca met nine years ago in the high school band. Pat was a Senior, and Rebecca was a Junior. Rebecca and Pat were both in the percussion section! Rebecca was in Drumline in the Marching Band for about three years, and then she joined the pit for the last two years. Pat only did a high school band. He joined his Junior and Senior year and that’s how it all began for them.
“I [Rebecca] dabbled in lots of instruments along the way, but I played piano since I was really little” From there, they both went off to college to study in the musical fields. One in Music Education and the other in Musical Theater. As Rebecca puts it, they were friends who had a lot of fun, and “Falling in love just happened naturally.”
HOW DID HE PROPOSE?
Pat took Rebecca for a horseback ride at Garrett Mountain Reservation in Paterson, NJ, and asked Rebecca to marry him! Could you ever imagine being proposed to on top of a mountain, let alone on horseback?
WHAT WERE YOU MOST EXCITED ABOUT FOR YOUR WEDDING DAY?!
“We were most excited about spending time while having a blast with our family and friends”
IF YOUR LOVE STORY WAS MADE INTO A MOVIE – WHAT WOULD YOU TITLE IT?!
This has to be my favorite answer ever for this
