Alex & Eric Engagement Session Long Beach Island NJ

Engagement Session Long Beach Island NJ

Alex and Eric’s engagement session Long Beach Island NJ is one of my last beach sessions of 2020 and I am so grateful to have done it with these two lovely people. I met Alex a few years ago when we worked on a professional cover recording of Dear Evan Hansen‘s You Will Be Found. She was a vocalist and I was the musical director of the project. We had stayed friends after we finished recording and I said to her when Eric proposes I want to be there to capture it. She said no, you’re gonna be there for the entire thing, engagement and wedding too. Fast forward to June of 2020, I was talking to Alex over text right around her birthday and we said, hopefully soon enough Eric is going to propose and we would finally get to shoot a session together.

A few days later Eric proposed. I sent her a huge congratulations text and I was elated for them. She couldn’t wait to chat about wedding and engagement photos. We planned an epic engagement session at one of my favorite locations. I was very excited to use the new drone, Mavic Air 2, as well as capture some end of summer sunsets in Holgate on Long Beach Island. Engagement Session Long Beach Island

The entire session, Alex couldn’t stop saying how handsome Eric is and how photogenic he is. These two are models and no matter how I posed them, they look good in everything. Engagement Session Long Beach Island

HOW DID THEY MET!

Alex and Eric met back in December 2017 on the dating app Coffee Meets Bagel. “I saw that Eric ‘liked’ me and I messaged him on December 26th. I said ‘Merry day after Christmas!’ and he replied ‘Happy Boxing Day!” Engagement Session Long Beach Island

THEIR FIRST DATE!

Alex and Eric went on their first date to Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk, CT. It was the coldest day of the year. “I got there first and Eric apparently saw me from his car. I remember the moment he walked in and thinking wow, he’s even cuter than his pictures! Eric says he remembers thinking “Wow, I can’t believe she’s here to meet me”. We hugged hello, he paid for our tickets, and we stayed there un
