Wedding Monroe NJ
Marissa and Zach’s Wedding Monroe NJ was beautiful, quaint, and the perfect Halloween Wedding. Although this wedding wasn’t on Halloween, everyone was still in the Halloween spirit. Marissa and Zach are very simple people, so they had a small front yard wedding at Marissa’s parent’s house. The entire week before their wedding, it was beautiful and warm, but of course the day of the wedding it was freezing and raining. Wedding Monroe NJ
We started the day with some simple details that Marissa had and getting her ready. My favorite part of her details was her green rain boots. I think those have to be the most unique pair of shoes that I have seen for a wedding day and it was so smart. It was raining and the ground was wet so rain boots were the perfect addition to Marissa’s wedding details. Wedding Monroe NJ
Her mom helped her get ready. The room that Marissa got dressed in was the perfect amount of lighting and I could do some beautiful dramatic lighting for her prep photos. When choosing a room for your prep, it is always best to choose a room with the best amount of natural light, even if it’s a single window. Wedding Monroe NJ
They had a Jewish ceremony and their Chuppah was beautiful and innovative. Because it was raining, Marissa and Zach set up tents and connected them to have coverage for their guests during the ceremony. Wedding Monroe NJ
The rabbi did a great job and their ceremony was beautiful. You could tell they have been waiting for such a long time to get married that they couldn’t wait to seal the ceremony with a kiss and the breaking of the glass.
After their ceremony, they went inside to sign their marriage licenses, cut the traditional bread, and then we moved onto family photos. Marissa and Zach didn’t have a bridal party, so we were able to move right over to their portraits after the family photos were done.
Marissa and Zach wanted to do their portraits at Etra Lake Park in East Windsor NJ. Although it was cold, the sun came out and we were able to accomplish some beautiful work with these two. I had never shot at Etra Lake Park before so I am thankful that Marissa and Zach went a few days earlier and checked out the park. They chose a great location for their images. The best part about October is that the leaves are still colorful and some are left on the trees.
Their wedding was short, sweet, and to the point. Unfortunately, COVID-19 has really altered everyone’s wedding plans for 2020 but I am honored to have captured their special day and I cannot thank Marissa and Zach for allowing me to be a part of their love story. Marissa and Zach tied the knot on October 30, 2020. Wedding Monroe NJ

WHAT WAS YOUR WEDDING INSPIRATION?!
“We both enjoy the autumn, especially Halloween. Our birthdays and when we first met/got together also occurred during the autumn, so this time of year is special to us.”
WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR ANYONE GETTING MARRIED?!
“The wedding is just a party. The only thing that matters is the ceremony, and just you and your soon-to-be spouse coming together as one.”
HOW DID YOU FEEL AT THE END OF THE DAY?!
“Exhausted and excited to see our cat. Happy that the day ended up being smooth, exactly what we wanted, and we got to spend time with our families as one for the first time in almost a year altogether.
