Wedding Allaire State Park Farmingdale NJ
Allaire State Park – October 24, 2020
Diana and Chris’s Wedding Allaire State Park in Farmingdale, NJ was beautiful and quaint. COVID-19 has really taken a huge toll on the wedding industry and forcing some couples to postpone their wedding’s to 2021 or for some couples like Diana and Chris to split their day.
However, their day was beautiful and they were surrounded by their family and close friends as they said “I do” at the chapel at Allaire State Park.
When we got there, I could see Chris’s face and he was trying to keep his nerves in check and distract himself from the anticipation of seeing Diana coming down the aisle. But I can tell you that it was all worth the anticipation of Chris seeing Diana walk down the aisle because she looked beautiful. Chris started tearing up from seeing her and it was the sweetest thing ever.
They kept their ceremony short, sweet, and too the point, yet made it enjoyable and memorable. I know that Chris and Diana didn’t have the wedding that they had planned for, but what I can say is that they are happy to be married and living life now as husband and wife. Wedding Allaire State Park
After the ceremony, we rolled right into their family photos. Keeping everyone in the same area and making sure that everyone gets into their respective family photos. I tell all my couples that family photos are the most stressful part of their day because of the never-ending train of complaints from their family members. So in order to make sure that doesn’t happen, I move it along quickly and everyone goes home happy 🙂 Wedding Allaire State Park
From the family photos, we moved on to shooting their bride and groom portraits. Since we are doing another day of coverage for their big day in 2021, we only spent about 20 minutes or so shooting their portraits. Let me tell you, it was worth it. Allaire State Park during the fall has so much to offer and I am so glad that they chose that location.
That same day was their annual Halloween Festival, so we were competing with the rest of the people there for the spots to take photos, but we made it work. The number of people that stopped us and said Congratulations to Chris and Diana and told them that they got married at the chapel so many years ago was overwhelming and made them so happy!
We finished off their day with some photos by the lake and then they went off to enjoy a beautiful dinner with the rest of their family and friends.
I am honored to call these two friends and I am looking forward to next year and celebrating with them on their big day! Chris and Diana will be tying the knot in October 2021 at the Crystal Ballroom in Freehold, NJ. Wedding Allaire State Park

A LITTLE Q&A FOR THE BRIDE AND GROOM
HOW DID YOU MEET?!
“We met in what was become the millenial norm, the internet 🙂 We swiped right and straight into each other’s hearts on OkCupid. After your usual exchange of “What do you do” and “What’s your sign” I asked for her number.”
“When she told me she had never seen Mulan before, I knew what the perfect first date was. Call us old fashion, but there is nothing better than dinner and a movie for a first date. We ended up talking for a good two hours after the film and even shared a smooch in the parking lot. I walked away from that one knowing a date two was all but guaranteed.”
TELL US ABOUT YOUR FIRST DATE!
They had their first date at Moore’s Tavern in Freehold NJ and shared their first kiss in the parking lot after the date.
HOW DID YOU FALL IN LOVE?
“We wouldn’t say there was one “I love this person” moment either of us had. It developed gradually over time. Longer dates, more time over at my place after work, and slowly we came to realize that our connection was stronger than simply “someone I’m seeing.”
“As cliche as it seems, Valentine’s Day 2018 we exchanged our first ” I love you” and we haven’t skipped a day since without saying those three words to each other.”

HOW DID HE PROPOSE?
“Diana and I were heading to New Orleans the day after Christmas this past year. My original plan was to make a grand proposal in the city. But as the day got closer, I was more and more afraid of losing the ring in transit. After a quick call to her sisters and asking her father’s permission, I moved it forward to Christmas Eve at her parents’ house.”
“After waiting all evening, the last present opened was the one with the ring in it. I got one knee as she opened the bag and asked her to marry me in front of her family. Diana said yes and it remains the happiest day of our lives.”
WHAT ARE YOU MOST EXCITED FOR ABOUT YOUR WEDDING?
“We are most excited about getting all of our family and friends together in one place to celebrate. We are a scattered group coming from many different states and countries, so having everyone together in one location will be a very rare occasion for us. Also, cocktail hour because that’s the best part of any wedding.”
YOUR LOVE STORY IS MADE INTO A MOVIE; WHAT IS THE TITLE?
“Opposites Attract”
DESCRIBE YOUR RELATIONSHIP IN 5 WORDS
“Genuine, Honest, Loving, Supportive, Fun”
