What to be Thankful For in 2020
This year has been really stressful and a lot of uncertainties. We’ve had to make a lot of sacrifices this year and change many ways to go about our lives. Many changes to the wedding industry with tons of postponements, splitting of days, and even some cancelations. What to be thankful for
Most couples have had to cut down their guest list and limit the number of people at their ceremonies and receptions.
As photographers, our job is to make sure our couples are having a great experience and can come to us with any issues or questions they have during this hard time. Most vendors have been giving couples a hard time switching their dates and making them pay more for their new dates. What to be thankful for
I want to remind everyone that we have a ton to be thankful for this year. 2020 has taught us to not take things for granted and be grateful for all the opportunities that come our way as Americans. What to be thankful for
All of my photographer friends have been struggling to make it through this season. We have been busier than ever this year. Working with all of our current couples to get their new dates and contracts situated, meeting and scheduling new clients, and maintaining editing, blogging, and upkeeping social media.
Remember that although your wedding may have been postponed until 2021, you have your family, health, and happiness. There is so much hate in this world right now. What to be thankful for
I am thankful for my friends, family, girlfriend, and couples, past and present. Without all of these aspects of my life, I wouldn’t be where I am today. What to be thankful for
Today, Christora and I released an episode for the Capture Crew for Thanksgiving and what we are thankful for. It was so nice thinking back about this year and reminding ourselves what we are thankful for. Being thankful for the opportunities we have had in 2020 and overcoming the obstacles we faced.
We were able to take advantage of the pandemic to better our skills and work on our businesses’ aspects to better use in the future. This year was a perfect opportunity for photographers to work on your skills and enhance your abilities as a photographer.
I remember as a kid loving this time of year. It is the official start of the holiday season. Watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and then leaving for my grandparent’s house in Long Island to finish the parade and be with the family. As we got older, we started having a holiday at my parents’ house and enjoyed the holidays with the entire family.
Now, most of the family has passed on, and we are in the transition phase of the older members of the family passing on and little ones being born. You make the best of it and have the best time creating new memories. I am so thankful for having these memories from my childhood. What to be thankful for
Cherishing these memories and holding on to them is so important. I am thankful for my family and having them around to make the memories made so many years ago. What to be thankful for
This year we are keeping it small and spending time with family with the entire pandemic. To all of my couples, be safe this year and cherish the memories you will make today. Be thankful to have the ability to make these memories.
“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.”
Do you have any traditions for this wonderful holiday?! Comment below and let me know what traditions you have each year for Thanksgiving. What to be thankful for
Some of my family traditions are having our cousins over the night before Thanksgiving. We watch the Parade on NBC in the morning in our PJs, get ready, and start cooking most of the day.
We have a big feast with our loved ones and then fall asleep on the couch afterward. Once everyone leaves, we go out Black Friday Shopping to the outlets and by stuff, we don’t need. Mom and I get all the deals and are laughing the whole time.
We come home laughing with bags and bags of goodies. We aren’t sure what this year will be like, but we will take the proper precautions to stay safe and still have a good time, just like everyone else.
Once this is all over, we will hopefully get back to a normal holiday season and be with our families once again. I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving and eat lots of turkey and stuffing today! What to be thankful for
